The Wendy's Review

What you missed last week:

Sooooooooooo…Last Wednesday (10/1/08) at “Wednesday at Wendy’s,” we continued the tradition of talk, the saga of gab, the course of conversation, the spree of speech…you get the idea (surely—no, I’m not calling you “Surely”). You may have noticed I settled for consonance instead of alliteration in one of the phrases listed above in order to work in the term "gab," but I think it was worth it. Don’t you? (Ahem, that was rhetorical.)

Annnyway, we discussed such things as questions over what role guilt plays in people for better or worse. We suggested its role might be determined in part by the person who feels it. If we become aware of the fact that we feel guilt, we can either respond trying simply to get rid of the guilt, an annoying feeling, or we can, perhaps, try to identify the source of our guilt—that we might fix some underlying problem warranting our attention and correctional effort. I would welcome any thoughts on this interesting question—does guilt play a role in people? If so, what role does it play?

We also discussed the meaning of faith and its relationship to certainty/uncertainty, belief, and “loyalty.” If you have anything to share on what faith means to you, please do.
